Why we love our why: Creating joyful spaces

Creating joyful spaces is what gets us out of bed in the morning, what makes us tick, how we get our kicks, our why, our reason for being.

You don’t need us to tell you there are bigger problems in the world than a deficit of smiles. Open a newspaper (remember those?) or scroll through social media (looking at you, Twitter), and you’ll soon find more than your fair share of bad news. Despite this, it’s still worth remembering that are thousands of people doing their best to make the world a little better each day in their own way. You might even be one of them. Creating joyful spaces is our way of contributing to the sum total of happiness and beauty in the world. And when you look at it that way, it’s really no small thing at all.

For thousands of years humans have created art, whether through the stroke of a pencil, sculpture, photography, fashion, interior design, and more. What all of these do is give expression to our thoughts, our emotions, and passions far better than words ever could – making art and artistry, in all its forms, the truest international language.

Helping our clients figure out what they love, what they want to come home to, and what sparks real joy may seem small in the grand scheme of things, but it matters. Perhaps now more than ever before. We all have our ‘happy place’ – even if only little slices of it in ordinary and everyday situations. It’s the relief of sinking into your favourite couch after a long day; the smell of coffee in your kitchen on a lazy Sunday morning; it’s that sigh of contentment when you walk into your bedroom and everything in it reflects you and what you love absolutely perfectly.

We’re embarking on a journey, a reinvigorated sense of purpose that puts our passion at the front and centre of everything we do. We see it as the perfect opportunity to add to the pleasure, beauty, warmth, and contentment in the world. We’re excited for the next chapter and can’t wait to share the journey with you.
